SH 2.0 è una piattaforma teorico-metodologica che approfondisce l'evoluzione connettiva e la diffusione del pensiero plurale di Internet attraverso un work in progress connesso a diversi canali che rappresentano nuovi spazi sociali. L’indagine, promossa all’interno del LAB.12:00 (struttura della fondazione dedicata all’esplorazione delle forme sperimentali dell'arte del presente avanzato), è curata da Lucia Ghidoni e prevede una serie di progetti di ricerca curatoriale che, utilizzando i meccanismi stessi del mezzo di comunicazione, scandaglieranno l’immenso patrimonio culturale presente nella rete e le pratiche artistiche nella cultura digitale.

Numerosi sono i musei e le gallerie che hanno predisposto negli ultimi anni un’area dedicata all’arte nella rete con opere entrate a far parte di collezioni private e pubbliche ma, l’approccio ad Internet pone una serie di problematiche che probabilmente andranno col tempo a modificare il sistema artistico e culturale contemporaneo: le difficoltà nell’effettiva commercializzazione delle opere, i problemi legati al copyright, l’allestimento, la fruizione da parte del pubblico, sono solo alcuni degli aspetti legati alle sue caratteristiche. Ad accompagnare il lancio della piattaforma SH 2.0, attraverso un’indagine su nuove modalità espositive e di comunicazione dell’arte, sono proposti una serie di link che costituiscono il progetto Curating Immaterial (fruibile direttamente dal sito della fondazione www.southeritage.org), che utilizza alcuni noti social network come Myspace e YouTube.

Curating Immaterial non è propriamente una “mostra” di carattere critico, tesa ad indagare una logica di sviluppo storico-artistico della ricerca artistica per e nella rete, ma attraverso l’accostamento di files riguardanti artisti di diversa provenienza culturale e stilistica intende rappresentare un clima: clima fatto dalle infinite possibilità e risorse offerta dalla rete, dove tutto è a disposizione come un ready made duchampiano, in cui l’universo delle informazioni presente nei motori di ricerca è talmente ampio da annullare ogni tentativo di dare dei confini a favore di un’autogenerazione che non può mai tenere conto di una possibile fine.

SH 2.0 is a research which deepens and focuses on the connective evolution of the Web and the spreading of the global thought of the Internet, thanks to a work in progress linked with several channels which represent new social areas. The project, promoted in LAB.12:00 (a platform dedicated to the exploration of the experimental contemporary art forms), is curated by Lucia Ghidoni and count a dynamical project series which will use all the mechanisms of the mass media, to explore the immense cultural heritage on the web and the artistic practise of the digital culture.

A lot of Museums and Galleries have arranged an area dedicated to the net art with artworks which have taken part in public and private collections, but the Internet approach raises some questions which will probably modify the artistic and cultural contemporary art system. Some of these issues are: the difficulties to commercialize the artworks, the limits of the copyright, the setting, the fruition of visitors. In this way the investigation of the Web exhibition and communication practise of SH 2.0 starts with the presentation of Curating Immaterial, formed by links, posted on www.southeritage.org and taken from famous social networks like Myspace and Youtube: the channels where the public can see videos, songs or performances.

Curating Immaterial isn't a critical exhibition which aims at promoting an historical artistic analysis, but it is a combination of artistic files that have different cultural origins. The ultimate objective is to represent a climate composed of infinitive possibilities and resources offered by the Web, a place where all is available, like a Duchamp's ready made, where the universe of the information on the search engine is so wide to encourage an auto-generation without an end and to wipe out every attempt to mark boundaries.
